The Publisher must not

a. acquire any Search Engine Marketing (SEM) traffic in the name of TRIVAGO. This includes all traffic related to search engine paid advertising traffic and all engines without limitation like Google, Yahoo, Bing and their Partner Networks.

b. acquire any Google Display Network (GDN) traffic and advertise in this network in the name of TRIVAGO.

c. acquire any Google Mail Special Promotions (GSP) traffic in the name of TRIVAGO.

d. start any campaigns in the Yahoo Display Network in the name of TRIVAGO.

e. acquire any incentivized traffic, which includes without limitation cashback and coupon sites. In particular it is prohibited to advertise a cashback for doing a clickout on trivago as well as incentivize traffic by promising a free live in a game, points, cash or any rewards in other forms for doing a clickout on trivago. Furthermore, it is not allowed to advertise trivago on a coupon website, where a voucher is offered if the user clicks on trivago’s advertisement (“click2trick”).

f. acquire any AdWare traffic under the AGREEMENT. This means in particular but shall not be limited to overriding links or integrating a trivago search bar into an adbar.

The Publisher must not engage in any fraudulent activities. Fraudulent activities include in particular but without limitation bots, automated lead generation, wrong linking, direct linking to lead page and multiple leads. If during a campaign TRIVAGO or tradetracker discovers such fraudulent activities committed by the Publisher, trivago is entitled to stop the campaign immediately without complying with any notice period and is not obliged to pay and cannot be held liable for any performance that was obtained under the influence of such fraudulent activities.

To be approved by trivago:

Any advertising for TRIVAGO on Real Time Bidding is strictly prohibited for the Publisher unless TRIVAGO has approved of it in writing (e-mail shall suffice).

Any remarketing traffic under the name of TRIVAGO is prohibited for the Publisher, unless TRIVAGO has explicitly stated otherwise in writing (e-mail shall suffice)

Any e-mail traffic under TRIVAGO’s name is strictly prohibited, unless TRIVAGO has explicitly stated otherwise in writing.

All direct links on Facebook must be approved by TRIVAGO. All posts on facebook, which are not approved will not be reimbursed.

The Publisher is not allowed to use creatives (IAB Standard and customized Image Creatives, Image/Text Combinations/Text Ads) which are not provided by TRIVAGO itself (via the Promotion Material.

The Publisher is obliged to make sure that TRIVAGO’s tracking is properly included in all advertising directing traffic to trivago. If the tracking is not included, TRIVAGO is not able to attribute the traffic and therefore cannot be held liable to pay for any services the Publisher rendered.

You get a fixed commission every time a user clicks on the “View Deal” button. The payment model is CPL (Cost per Lead) and it is possible for the user to make multiple leads in a session.
